The Nissan TEKTON is powered by a choice of two turbocharged petrol engines, both compatible with E20 fuel. The entry-level Turbo T160 uses the HRA0 engine code, a 999cc 3-cylinder unit with a Turbo MPFi fuel system, producing 100PS at 5000rpm and 166Nm of torque between 2000 and 3750rpm. It comes exclusively with a 6-speed manual transmission, accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 12.46 seconds, and returns a fuel efficiency of 19.4 km/l. The more powerful Turbo T280 uses the H5HA474 engine code, a 1333cc 4-cylinder unit with a Turbo GDi fuel system, delivering 163PS at 5250rpm and a best-in-segment 280Nm of torque between 2000 and 3500rpm. It is available with either a 6-speed manual transmission, which accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 9.51 seconds and returns 17.8 km/l, or a 6-speed DCT with wet clutch and fly-by-wire E-shifter, which accelerates in 9.89 seconds and returns 18.5 km/l.

On the chassis side, the TEKTON uses a MacPherson Strut with Lower Transverse Link at the front and a Twist Beam Suspension with Coil Spring at the rear. A solid anti-roll bar assembly is mounted on the subframe at the front, while a fixed anti-roll bar sits within the rear twist beam, and twin-tube hydraulic shock absorbers are used at both the front and rear for composed handling. Braking is handled by disc brakes at the front across all variants, while the rear uses disc brakes on the Tekna and Tekna+ trims and on all DCT variants, with drum brakes fitted to other variants.

In terms of size, the Nissan TEKTON measures 4349mm in length, 1815mm in width, and 1674mm in height, riding on a 2657mm wheelbase. The front wheel track is 1565mm and the rear wheel track is 1539mm, with a front body overhang of 860mm and a rear body overhang of 832mm. Ground clearance stands at 212mm in unladen condition, and the SUV offers an approach angle of 26.9 degrees and a departure angle of 34.7 degrees. Boot space is rated at 700 litres up to the roof or 518 litres up to the parcel shelf with the rear seats up, expanding to 1789 litres with the rear seats folded down. The fuel tank holds 50 litres.

Wheel specifications vary by trim: the VISIA and VISIA+ come with R17 225/60 steel wheels with a wheel hub cover, the ACENTA gets the same size steel wheel with a dual-tone wheel cover, while the N-CONNECTA is fitted with R18 225/55 painted alloy wheels and the TEKNA and TEKNA+ get R18 225/55 diamond-cut alloy wheels. A standard R17 225/60 steel spare wheel is included on all variants except the VISIA.

On safety, the Nissan TEKTON has achieved a 5-star Bharat NCAP rating, with a BNCAP score of 30.49 for adult occupant protection and 45.00 for child occupant protection. Six airbags come as standard, and the body structure is built from 62% high-strength and ultra-high-strength steel in a monocoque frame for added rigidity.

For technology, the cabin is anchored by a 25.65cm (10.1-inch) Tek-Link HD infotainment screen with Google built-in, paired with a 26.03cm (10.25-inch) HD digital cockpit display.

Ownership is backed by a standard warranty of 3 years or 100,000 km, along with 3 years of 24/7 roadside assistance. A paid extended warranty of up to 10 years or 200,000 km is also available, along with a paid maintenance plan covering 3 years or 30,000 km.
