At its heart is a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, SOHC, four-valve fuel-injected engine producing 18.4 PS at 10,000 rpm and 14.1 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm. Combined with a six-speed constant-mesh transmission and Variable Valve Actuation (VVA), it delivers smooth low-speed usability and exciting performance at higher engine speeds.

The MT-15 V2 is designed to inspire confidence on busy Sri Lankan streets. Its traction control system helps manage rear-wheel slip, while the inverted telescopic front fork and link-type rear swingarm suspension provide responsive handling and improved stability. Braking is handled by a 282 mm front disc and 220 mm rear disc, supported by single-channel ABS.

Its unmistakable MT styling features muscular bodywork, a bi-functional LED headlight and an LED taillight. A wide 140 mm radial rear tyre gives the motorcycle a planted stance and confident road presence.

The Bluetooth-enabled digital LCD instrument cluster connects with Yamaha’s Y-Connect app, giving riders access to useful motorcycle and ride information. A side-stand engine cut-off system provides additional everyday safety and convenience.

With a manageable 139 kg kerb weight, 810 mm seat height and 170 mm ground clearance, the Yamaha MT-15 V2 combines agility, technology and streetfighter character in a practical package for daily commuting and weekend riding.
